Committee Descriptions for Volunteers
Food-N-Fitness 5K Run/Walk

  Children’s Activities Committee Volunteers
·  Help supervise children while parents walk or run
·  Help with face painting and other fun activities
·   May assist with refreshment table after kids activities are complete
 

Race Course/Parking Committee Volunteers
·  Arrive early and remain until race is over
·  Direct traffic to parking area
or
·  Man a station along race course to direct runners/walkers and offer encouragement

 Finish Line Committee Volunteers
·  Cheer for and congratulate runners/walkers
·  Collect runners/walkers numbers

 Nutrition Education Committee Volunteers
·  Assist with nutrition education table set up
·  Assist with milk mustache photo activity
·  Help dismantle display 

Publicity Committee Volunteers
·  Help publicize Race
·  Help distribute Race registration forms

Pre-Registration Committee Volunteers
At Playmakers in the evening the Friday before the race:
[2299 W. Grand River, Okemos (1/2 mile west of Okemos Rd.)]
·  Assist with the collection of Race registration forms and registration fees
·  Assist with distribution of T-shirts, runner/walker numbers, and registration packets

Registration Committee Volunteers
·   Help register runners/walkers day of the Race

Refreshments Committee Volunteers
·  Help collect equipment to serve refreshments the day of the Race
or
·  Help set up refreshments the day of the Race
·  Help serve refreshments the day of the Race
or
·  Man water stations along Race course 

Set Up/Tear Down Committee Volunteer Fact Sheet
·  Help set up tables and signs on day of Race
·  May assist with Race course after set up is complete
or
·  Help remove signs and pack up materials after Race is over

Prizes Committee Volunteer Fact Sheet
·  Help pick up prizes from local businesses on your own schedule
or
·  Help set up prizes the day of the race
